The timeline shown is a project cycle timeline, however the same concepts apply to any timeline. To adjust a line’s color or thickness, choose Line weight from the toolbar. To alter the line’s style, do this.

Go to Insert – Chart on the Google Docs ribbon after selecting all the data in your table. From the list of documents and files, select the timeframe you like. Making a timeline in Google Docs isn’t quite practical, despite its potential use.

Launch your presentation in Google Slides. I simply want to label the points along a line with labels for the events that occurred on those dates to indicate the dates. Using the bubble chart tool is another approach to create a timeline.

As long as the information is properly separated and placed in chronological sequence, a timeline does not need to be a complex drawing. To begin with, switch your Google Doc’s orientation from portrait to landscape. Select Page setup under File in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Dates are in Column A. You may use this as a kind of graph sheet to create a timeline in Google Docs. I’ll demonstrate how to make a timeline chart graph in a Google Docs document in this video.

There will be a sidebar. By setting it up as a Bubble chart, you may create a simple timeline. Select all of the data in your table, then select the chart option in Google Docs.

Click where you want to add your timeline in a Google Doc after it is open.
